How to register as an insurer and launch a product on BimaStack

Register your company, load your rate card, approve it with a second pair of eyes, and let agencies and brokers sell it. No code.

On BimaStack an insurer defines its products as configuration: rate tables, rules and pricing, each versioned and approved before it prices anything. Agencies and brokers you have agreements with then quote and sell them, side by side with the market, and you see every policy sold under your name. This guide covers registering your company and launching your first product.

Register your company

  1. 1

    Create your account

The person who registers becomes the organisation’s first owner. Use your work email, or sign up with Google or Microsoft.

Follow the link we email you, then sign in.

  3. 3

    Register as an insurer

Choose Insurer. Give your company’s name, registered legal name, a permanent short name, your licence number and your web address.

    Approved within 2 business days

We review every organisation before it goes live and email you the decision. Insurers on the Enterprise plan can have their data in a dedicated database; ask us before you apply.

Launch your first product

  1. 1

    Load your rate card

A rate table holds a whole rate card: value bands, minimum premiums, excess, add-ons. Publishing checks it for gaps, overlaps and missing rates.

  2. 2

    Describe the product

Its inputs, its covers, and which rules decide whether to accept, refer or decline. Pricing is a workflow you can read, test and simulate before it goes live.

  3. 3

Approve it with a second person

Whoever drafted a change can’t approve it. Every version is kept, dated from when it takes effect, so a quote always says exactly which rates priced it.

  4. 4

    Distribute it

Offer the product to the agencies and brokers you have agreements with, with the commission for each class, and list it on your own storefront.

What you see

  • Every quote made with your products, and the policies sold under them by your agencies and brokers.
  • Referrals: quotes your rules send for a check come to you to accept or decline, with the reason going back to the seller.
  • A record of every computation, which you can replay to see what moved when a rate changed.

Insurers usually choose Enterprise: negotiated limits, a dedicated database, single sign-on and a service-level agreement. See pricing or book a demo.
